Named for its location just east of Third Street in the Arts District, this Japanese steakhouse and lounge manages to be hip without taking itself too seriously. The long narrow space flows into the first intimate dining room then into a spacious lounge with low, circular booths and a psychedelic bar that changes colors like a mood ring. Finally, a stylish yet comfortable room set with black wood chairs and white tablecloths sparkles with glassware and candlelight. Restaurateur Jason Ha uses Korean marinating techniques—with ingredients like Asian pears, soy, honey, sesame oil and chilies—to create tender cuts of meat. Try the succulent Pork Lovers Steak or the Asian short ribs. There’s mellow DJ music later in the evening and a patio for smoking. T-shirt and jeans welcomed. Open daily for lunch and dinner.
