Though there are other Japanese pub-style eateries in Little Tokyo, including the more upscale Izayoi, this spot is more laid back, worn in and fun. Prices are reasonable for the small plates and robata skewered grilled items like squid, enoki and albacore. Part of the fun here is ordering, especially when you don’t quite know what you’re getting. It’s open until 2 a.m. and serves plenty of beer and sake. Did we mention they have deep-fried Camembert cheese?
